M.Phil Clinical Psychology Entrance: Live Classes

In India, if you want to pursue a career as a mental Health Professional with the designation of Clinical Psychologist, then doing an M.Phil in clinical psychology from a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)-recognized institution is mandatory. The course separates counselors/psychologists from clinical psychologists. Since the educational institute is affiliated with RCI, the entrance pattern is left to the institute. It creates many doubts and confusions in students about the course, which institute to apply for admission to, and how I should prepare for entrance to various institutes.

About the course

M.Phil clinical psychology is a two-year course that provides you with a license by RCI. It is an integrated course devoted to theory, clinical knowledge, training, research, and practice. It is not a regular M.Phil as it exposes you to the practical field, ensuring experience with clients/patients in a clinical setting and working in a multidisciplinary team. Rigorous training is provided in therapeutic techniques, counseling skills and diverse psychological measurements.

Are you eligible to apply for the course?

As a candidate who wishes to apply for an M.Phil Clinical Psychology, you must have completed an MA/MSc. In psychology, with an aggregate of 55%. However, each college has its own specific criteria, so it is essential to check the eligibility provided on the university's official website or hospital, or you can even contact UPS Education. Every university has an entrance exam, and based on its score, admission will be provided in clinical psychology.
